Standard EIFS has a thin finish over soft foam. To a woodpecker it sounds hollow and it's easy to drill, which is why birds go after it looking for insects or a place to nest. Patching the hole just puts the same soft wall back.
Ultra-Guard EIFS changes the wall itself. Its reinforced, impact-resistant base layer resists pecking where a standard system would give way. You keep the insulation and the stucco look, without the holes.

Common Questions
Why do woodpeckers go after EIFS?
EIFS sounds hollow and the foam behind the finish is soft, so it can look like a good spot to find insects or dig a nest. Once a bird starts on a wall, it often comes back to the same building.
Will Ultra-Guard look different from my existing stucco?
No. It uses standard EIFS finishes, so we can match your color and texture.
Can it go over my existing EIFS?
In most cases, yes. We inspect first. If the substrate is sound, Ultra-Guard is applied over the existing system after any damaged areas are repaired.
Do I have to do the whole building?
Not always. Some owners protect only the elevations that are being hit. Others do the whole building, because birds often move to the next untreated wall. We'll recommend what makes sense for your property.
How much does an inspection cost?
