Project Overview

This Suffolk ranch home featured an older EIFS exterior that showed age, discoloration, and localized damage from years of weather exposure. The homeowners wanted to extend the life of the existing system, improve curb appeal, and get a clean, updated look without the cost and disruption of a full tear‑off. EIFS painting and resurfacing provided a cost‑effective way to protect the cladding and modernize the appearance.

Repairs Before Coating

Before any coatings were applied, all EIFS damage was repaired so the new finishes would be both durable and visually consistent. This included:

• Patching impact damage and spalls in the lamina.
• Repairing cracked or delaminated areas.
• Addressing problem spots at corners, terminations, and transitions.

By restoring the integrity of the EIFS first, we ensured the new coatings would bond properly and help prevent existing defects from telegraphing through the finish.

Marble Stone Aggregate on the Foundation

To enhance both durability and appearance at the base of the house, we installed a decorative marble stone aggregate finish on the foundation. This upgrade:

New Top Coat on All Other EIFS Walls

With repairs complete and the foundation upgraded, we prepared and coated all remaining EIFS wall surfaces with a new high‑performance top coat designed for EIFS and stucco. The process included cleaning, spot priming as needed, and then applying a uniform finish coat to:

• Refresh the color and even out previous fading and patchwork.
• Help bridge minor hairline surface imperfections.
• Improve weather and UV resistance for longer service life.

The new coating tied the entire façade together, blending smoothly with the marble stone foundation and giving the single‑story ranch a clean, updated curb appeal.

Final Results

The completed project delivered a fully repaired, repainted EIFS exterior with a distinctive marble stone aggregate foundation and a uniform new top coat on all other walls.
